As you know, I have 4 pets back home. I have grown up raising pets and know that it can get a little frustrating at times, just like with children; so I think you should be prepared for that well in advance. Well, according to me, you should go for a dog. Little Johnny is 4 years old now, right? I believe given your busy schedule and all the running around you have to do after that little troublemaker, you should get a Golden Retriever. This breed is known to be very calm and loving. Apart from this, it is also known to be very good around children and is famous for its loyalty. These dogs are raised for their gentle temperament. Nevertheless, I would suggest that you adopt rather than buy it from a breeder. The breeders are notorious for unnaturally breeding the dogs which results in many health and other issues. Meanwhile, a dog from a shelter is guaranteed to be full of love and gratitude towards you. However, once you do get a pet you need to be careful and care for it like a child. Give it time to adjust to you and its new environment. Rest assured, you will enjoy keeping one.

There was a point in my life when I felt out of place, directionless and without a purpose. I was 22 and hadn’t accomplished anything by then. Then, something happened on a certain day that made it most important day of my life. It was only a few months back. I had just completed my post-graduation degree and was at the crossroads--I could not decide where I wanted to go with my life. However, I decided to get a job for the time-being in order to get by. I started to look for all kinds of job, and eventually came across the post of Content Developer in a reputed company. I had convinced myself that the possibility of getting this job was very slim as I did not think that I was suitable for it and that it was completely unrelated to my field of study. To my surprise, I got the job and was both shocked and speechless at the same time. The day I got my first salary was the most important day in my life as it gave me the much needed confidence. I saw the pride in my parents’ eyes and was very thrilled to be the reason behind it. I took my mother for shopping and was filled with contentment at having bought her everything she wanted with my hard-earned money. Apart from this, I bought a wristwatch for my father. I think it’s the joy that I was able to bring to my parents’ life that made it one of the most important days of my life.

This is a picture of a very busy street. A lot of things are happening here simultaneously. The first noticeable thing is the family of seven walking with their dog in the foreground. It seems to be a two way street as traffic is coming from both the sides. Towards the background an airplane can be seen flying above a school named as St. Mary’s School. Right below it is a train that is covering a part of the sandy mountains. A traffic cop is seen holding a stop sign telling the pedestrians to wait for the traffic to pass. Two adults and some children can be seen standing on the other side, waiting to cross the street. Right by a grocery store is a woman who has a child on a stroller. Moving to the street, a lot of vehicles can be seen. Two cyclists who are riding their bikes wearing helmets are separated by two cars. While on the other side two cars and a bus are being driven very closely behind one another. A woman is standing in front of what looks like an apartment building and another woman is walking towards her. Overall, this place is full of hustle and bustle.

I think a lot can happen next. First and the obvious one is that the pedestrians will cross the road once the traffic clears up. However, judging from the image they might have to wait a little longer as it seems that a collision is about to occur between the bus and two cars that are quite close behind one another. The bus which is a school bus full of children is most likely to bang right into the green coloured jeep and push it into the red vehicle. As it happens in most cases of road accidents, the drivers of the three vehicles will try to blame one another which is bound to create and cause problems for the rest of the people on this busy street. Everyone on the street who is oblivious of the upcoming crash is quite likely to go about their own ways. The woman with a stroller will probably reach the grocery store. On the other side, the woman walking towards the other woman standing in front of the supposed apartment building is very likely to start off a conversation with her. The two women might indulge in some gossip or talk about something else. The airplane flying overhead will pass right by and reach its destination and so will the train.

Hi Sue, surely your choice is quite good. I have heard a lot about this dog breed. It is basically raised to be watch dogs and is very loyal too. It would be a very good choice for someone with a big backyard or an outdoor space in their house. However, since we live in an apartment building I think we should opt for the Golden Labrador. Both the breeds are gentle and calm which is a good thing as we have little kids in our house. I feel taking care of a St. Bernard would get a bit difficult in such a confined space with small children. It’s expected to grow very tall and bulky and hence would require a lot of open space. The Labrador is a very smart and agile breed and would be more suitable given that none of us have any experience in dog care. This breed pretty much raises itself. It does not require a lot of training and understands commands easily. Moreover, its life expectancy is greater than that of a St. Bernard. As it will remain comparatively smaller in size once it is grown up, it would be more convenient to look after it. I have also heard that these dogs can serve as service dogs which means they can sense all types of emotions and are the best companions in times of distress. We all need the comfort of a furry mate in our lives one time or another, don’t we? We’ll surely get a St. Bernard once we get a bigger house and gain some experience in dog care. Jokes apart, I am really very happy for you buddy. This is one of the best news I have heard in a while. I wouldn’t want to miss this day for the world. However, unfortunately I might have to miss it. I know we had a deal to be each other’s best man and you already came through for your end of the deal, but I am afraid that I would not to be able to make it. I hate to say it, but Rebeca and I had a trip planned for that weekend and that’s non-refundable. We have been planning this trip for months and finally were able to get off work at the same time. Rebeca’s parents are going to be looking after the kids for the weekend, so this is quite possibly the only chance we’ll get for this trip. You know I have been promoted and have a huge workload on my shoulders now. So, I don’t get much time for her, that’s why I need to give her the trip that she has been dreaming of for months. I know that you will understand how hard it will be for me to miss your wedding and I would not be doing it if I had any other option. I hope you understand and accept my apology in advance. I have an idea, why don’t we attend your wedding live on a video call. That would work, eh? I promise to make it up to you when I get back. Growing up in a strict household, I always envied the friends whose parents gave them complete privacy and control over their lives. I, on the other hand, was not even allowed to go to another room to answer a phone call from a friend. My mother constantly nagged me about every little thing, and to be honest, it was quite frustrating. However, now that I’ve grown up I realize and understand where she was coming from. The world out there is scary with people waiting to take advantage of the vulnerable. In my opinion, yes, the parents must supervise the teenagers, but it should not be extreme. Excess of anything is bad and in this case, this excess can push the child far away towards the activities that the parents want to prevent them from indulging in. Nevertheless, with the advent of social media, everyone is sharing every little detail of their lives on the internet. Given that it is a good way of connecting and communicating, it also gives the predators the requisite arsenal to prey on the immature children. Teenagers are at a stage in their lives where they are not children but also not matured adults. The decisions that they make can be rash and also be driven by peer pressure. I think that if the parents try to act as friends with their children and have a healthy and open line of communication, there would be no need for strict supervision as the children would feel more comfortable in sharing things.

Hey Ronny! You know I was out shopping for the Halloween party and wandered into this great antique furniture store. You will never believe what I came across. It is a very stylish and spooky chair. It is a dark brown chair with tan cushions. The best part is that it’s shaped like a scorpion. It has eight legs and those resemble the legs of a scorpion. The arm rests look like the scorpion’s pincers. If you are not convinced yet, be ready to be now. The head of the chair is the stinger. It is one of the most quirky, yet elegant chairs that I have ever come across. As you know, we have that best Halloween decoration competition, and this chair is going to add all the charm that we need to win this year. I think our guests will be both scared and intrigued to sit in this chair. It is one of a kind and was specially built for a Roman king who referred to himself as the ’Scorpion king’. He was known to be just as vicious as a scorpion and used to eliminate his enemies using scorpion venom. I know you must be thinking that such a chair would be useless after the party, but trust me it will look amazingly unique in our living room. I know you are as excited about owning it as I am.
