Hey Max! How are you? I am so glad that you have decided to pursue your further studies in Canada. I think it would be a very good opportunity for you to get the taste of independence. I know it must be scary for you given that you have never lived on your own. No offence but you have been babied your whole life, so definitely it will be difficult for you to do things by yourself for a change. There are many adjustments that you will have to make once you move abroad. Firstly, you need to make a habit of doing the house chores. You’ll be living alone and there will be no one to help you with the house work. But do not fret as you can easily get used to it. I would suggest that you start getting involved in house work and stop taking any help from your family members. Secondly, you need to have basic cooking skills because you cannot eat out everyday. It will be difficult for you to go to a new place and change your lifestyle all of a sudden, so I suggest that you start practising it from this point on. You need to set a routine for yourself and stick to it. With continuous and consistent practice, I’m sure you’ll be able to do just fine in the new phase of your life.

Life is an unpredictable journey and we never know where it might take us or who we might cross paths with. I consider myself to be an introvert as I am my true self only around a few people. However, there was an unexpected interaction that I had with someone I never would have imagined to have. It happened a few months after I had started my new job. I was the shy girl who only did her work and went home. I used to enjoy the solitude and always preferred eating alone. One day however, when I reached the lunch room expecting it to be empty I saw two of my seniors there. They insisted that I join them for lunch. At first, I was extremely uncomfortable as I dislike small talks, but to my surprise I did not even realize when I got involved into their conversation. The conversation started with talking about our pets. It turned out even they were animal lovers just like me. The conversation really became interesting when we started talking about a TV series known as ’Criminal Minds’ which turned out to be all of our favourite. We talked about our favourite episodes and characters and discussed the show at length. It was very astonishing to me that I was able to engage in a conversation with two people I had never spoken to before for so long. I consider it to be interesting both because of the topic of discussion and the fact that after that conversation all three of us became good friends.

This is indeed a very comically chaotic image. Many things are happening here all at once. It seems like a children’s party. First of all, right by the door is a mini horse behind a boy who has got a snake wrapped around his arm and is obviously scared. It looks like a circus show as many animals can be seen in the image. There is a parrot, a frog, a turtle, a rabbit, a lizard, a few dogs, cats and hamsters. The most astonishing thing is that a dog is hanging onto the ceiling fan and under him is a pink coloured poodle who is standing on its hind legs on the table. A girl and a boy are on the other end of that table looking at some fishes in a bowl. A cat is pulling the table cloth with its claws in an attempt to either get to the fishes or the snacks laid out on the table. At the balcony, a girl is holding what looks like a guinea pig and jumping up and down. A big lizard is walking on the curtain of the balcony. Another boy can be seen sitting beside a small table with what looks like a tarantula enclosure, but unfortunately the tarantula seems to have escaped from there. Overall, this image is of complete mayhem and chaos.

This utterly chaotic image is bound to become even more chaotic. Firstly, the boy right by the door seems to be right in harm’s way. The horse behind him is likely to bite him in the leg and the snake is going to add to his misery by biting him as well. Next thing, the dog hanging by the fan is going to fall and hurt itself and possibly the dog under him. The frog is going to jump onto the boy with the snake on his arm. The snack bowl is going to land on the dog’s head who is pulling the cloth with its mouth. The parrot looks like he is flying towards the fish bowl and will probably try to catch one of the fishes in his mouth. However, his attempts might be in vain if the cat reaches to the top before him. The escaped tarantula seems too close to the other cat and might end up biting him. The boy looking at its enclosure might realize that it’s missing and save the cat before that happens. The girl jumping up and down at the balcony might realize that she can fall by jumping like that and back away, only to witness the mayhem that has transpired at the party.

Hey Debbie! I’m so glad that you got me to agree to buying furniture for our garden. It has been so long since we’ve bought something nice for the house. I think the choice that you made is a pretty good one. However, I feel we should go for the swing instead of the dining set. An outdoor dining set would have been a good idea if we lived in a place where the weather was pleasant enough to sit outside and eat. Moreover, we rarely have any guests over, so it would be quite a waste to buy such an expensive dining set which comes with 8 chairs. We already have a very expensive indoor dining set and we rarely use that. I think a swing would be a very good addition to our garden. Besides it being a fun way to relax, the one that I have come across comes with a year long guarantee and an additional 10% discount. Both of us can sit and relax there after a long day of work and enjoy each other’s company. Since most of the times it is just the two of us in the house I think it would be a wiser decision to buy the swing. So, what do you say?

I have already gathered my notes from last year and brushed up my knowledge so I can help you better. There is however, one slight change of plans. My sister, Annie, has just asked me to look after her kids on the same day that we had scheduled to study. I know what you must be thinking, but no, I’m not cancelling on you. I do want to keep my promise to you. I even tried to get someone else to look after the kids on that day but sadly it was all in vain. It is a very important business meeting that she needs to attend and I could not say no to her. You need not worry! We can still make it work. You can come by my house two hours before our original plan. This way we will get a head start and have some extra time on our hands. My mom will pick up the kids from school and drop them to the house in the afternoon. By then we will have done half the work. Once they arrive we can take a little snack break for about an hour. They usually go to sleep right after having lunch. After they are tuckered out we can continue our study session. Do not worry at all as I am fully committed to helping you ace your test.

Smoking is a dangerous habit which not only inflicts harm upon the one doing it but also on other people around him. Unlike other self-indulgent behaviours like eating fast food or drinking alcohol in public, second hand smoke is not singularly linked to the participant. I think it would be best if smoking in public places is banned by the government. I know many would argue that it would be an infringement of people’s right to choose for themselves. However, in my opinion someone’s free will ends when it starts encroaching onto someone else’s and turns into oppression. When a person smokes in public he is making them vulnerable to diseases that they otherwise never would have to worry about if it weren’t for him. Apart from this, inhalation of smoke by people who suffer from some respiratory diseases like asthma could trigger many other problems for them. It could also lead to dangerous and potentially fatal situations. Just as people have a right to choose whether to smoke or not, others have a right to not be involuntarily exposed to substances like tobacco. Moreover, both young children and senior citizens are found to be very sensitive towards smoking and it would be rather difficult for them to breathe being surrounded by smoke. Considering all this, in my opinion, smoking should most certainly be banned in public places.

Sam, you will not believe what I just came across. I was just passing by this carpenter’s store and something amazing caught my eye. It is the quirkiest book shelf and it instantly reminded me of you. My first thought looking at it was that you should see it. Unfortunately, I am not allowed to click a photo so I’m going to try and describe it to you. It is still under process but the most parts of it are complete. I know you must be thinking why would a book shelf be interesting. Brace yourself! It was divided into three sections. The base of it was shaped like a cow which has shelves to stock up the books. In the centre where the stomach of the cow is supposed to be is a drawer and the centre part can also be used as a study table. To make things better, there’s a pig on top of the cow and a duck on top of the pig carved in a similar fashion to keep books and other items. The carpenter said that it needed to be painted so I’m sure it would look even more adorable once it is done. Since you are running a day care centre for small children I think it would be a good thing for you to buy. You can stack all the story books and toys on this cute shelf. Besides, I believe your son would also be thrilled to have such an interesting piece of furniture in the house.
