Dear Martin, I recently moved to the newly constructed residential towers in Downtown.I was happy to rent an apartment in a posh residential building but my experience with the services available has been extremely dissatisfying. Firstly, the lift of the building doesn’t work properly. It often malfunctions which makes it difficult for residents to get to their apartments. The faulty lift is not only a botheration but is also dangerous. Secondly, the key cards don’t function properly. One evening, I was locked out of my apartment because the lock did not read the key card. There was no assistance available for hours and it was long after midnight that I could access my apartment again. The biggest problem, however, seems to be the unguarded main gates of the complex. Access should be available only to the residents through their key cards. Also, the parking lot should have the same facility to ensure the safety of the residents’ vehicles. As the owner, your responsibility doesn’t end with designing plush homes. You must also ensure the safety and security of the residents. If the aforementioned issues remain unaddressed, I would be forced to revoke the lease contract and look for an alternative accommodation. I am looking forward to your response. Sincerely, Adam Ramzi
I strongly feel that the company should organize a seminar on Business English. This would really help us communicate well and give us a chance to brush our skillsets. English,being an international language, has a wide scope and application in every profession. It, therefore, becomes imperative for everyone working in the corporate world to have a good command over the language and know how to use it effectively. A seminar on Business English would not only teach employees about writing good emails or making great presentations but would also help them gain confidence and contribute to their overall professional development. Equipped with the right language, we can express ourselves clearly and make a good first impression. This ability can work wonders in front of potential clients and business partners. It would, therefore, prove to be beneficial for us and the company. Although organizing a seminar on educational opportunities seems to be a good idea too, I think many employees are already busy with their work commitments and may not find enough time to pursue any further courses. A good understanding of the correct use of the English language and how it is used in business, however, would definitely give them an edge over the others and help them in achieving professional success and growth.
