Dear Sir or Madam, I am Leonard Cooper and I am writing in regard to a cancelled telephone connection. I recently moved from Gilmore Street to St. Robert’s Street and thus had to cancel my older connection (Number 4566987). I had applied for the cancellation way in advance and had cleared all my dues. I even received a request acknowledgement email from your company’s side. I have been living at my new residence for over a month and since that house is up for sale now, it is quite unlikely that I or someone else would be using that telephone. However, surprisingly I have been charged a whole month’s fee for that connection for the month of February. The bill amount is $300. I spoke to one of your customer care representatives but sadly it was a useless endeavour. Not only were they highly unprofessional, but they also suggested that I was trying to pull off a fraud. The exchange I had withthem was extremely unexpected and rude. I have attached the mail that I received from your side at the time of cancellation. I am highly disappointed at the way your representatives deal with this matter. I would request that you look into this matter and resolve the issue as soon as possible. Kindly ask your executives the right way to deal with customers. Best regards, James Doe
The school magazine indeed requires something to add a little zing to it so that the students feel more inclined towards reading it. I feel that both the options of adding a creative writing column or a self-help column are equally good, but if Ihad to choose one I would choose the self-help column. It is not to say that the creative writing column would not be a good idea. Itmost definitely is as it would give the students a creative outlet to showcase their talents. However, being someone who is not so creative I can say that it would not be able to attract a majority of the students. Not all of us have the talent or the interest in literature and the like. I feel like a lot of students could benefit from the self-help column. I, for one, feel that it is difficult to cope with ever-increasing exam stress and the students would get some respite reading an expert opinion in this regard. Moreover, teenagers are a tough crowd to please which makes it rather difficult to make friends. Some tips would come in handy for the introvert students. Besides, thereare a lot of other issues that the students are exposed to in their daily life and getting to read about those might not necessarily solve the problem but would surely make them feel validated. It would assure them that they are not the only ones going through those problems. A little career guidance could also help the students a great deal. Hence, I feel the self-help column should be introduced as it would be more inclusive and beneficial for the students.
School Survey Your school has decided to add a new column to its school magazine. Being unable to decide a theme for that column, the school authorities have sent out a survey to know the opinion of the teachers for a suitable theme.
