Hi Ron, I was thrilled to know that you have joined a new company recently. I understand that starting a new job can be stressful. You’re in an unfamiliar environment and finding your place in it will be the difference between excelling at your job or crashing and burning. So I would like to give you some advice that can ease the transition and help you adjust in your new workplace. You will be taking in an enormous amount of new information during your first few weeks on the job, from understanding the work culture to learning the ropes of your job. You will not retain all of this information in the beginning, and that’s normal. In most jobs, it takes anywhere from three to six months to feel like you know what you’re doing, and in some especially complicated jobs, even longer. That feeling nearly always goes away, but it takes time. Meanwhile keep talking to your colleagues and reach out to them to in case of any confusion. This will help them accept you as a team member more easily and quickly. I wish you luck, I hope you do great and have an amazing time in the new environment, among new colleagues and superiors.
Last summer, I decided to spend my vacations at my ancestral village in Uttar Pradesh, India. I had never been there before and wanted to experience the lifestyle I had studied about in school. I can’t paint a rosy picture of village life, because I witnessed much scope for development there. But I do have some pleasant memories. The mornings there were beautiful and calming unlike the city where there is never a moment of silence. During a morning stroll, I even saw peacocks strutting in the fields. The people there were quite vocal in voicing their opinions. One day I went to have some tea in a rundown stall; I could overhear disgruntled men discussing the contemporary issues of the society quite loudly. It seemed as if they would get into a physical fight. But after a few minutes they were all laughing and having tea together. The tea stall owner told me that this was nothing new and he had never seen the people letting their grudges or disagreements affect their relationships. What I did not like there was the power-cuts in the evenings. But that also turned into a pleasant experience. People would come out of their houses to enjoy the cool breeze and catch up with their friends. This was quite different from in cities where people don’t even know who lives next door.
The picture represents a scene of a busy classroom. It appears to be an art and craft class as many students are involved in creative activities. The classroom is well-equipped with a television fitted on the wall. There’s a sink which indicates that students often get involved in activities that requires students to wash their hands or their equipment. Four students can be seen seated around the table. While the girls are colouring in their books, the boys are using scissors, glue and paper cuttings to create something artistic. There’s a boy who’s standing near the table, painting on a canvas with a paintbrush. There are four students standing near the teacher, who is listening to them attentively. Overall the environment of the class appears to be lively and enthusiastic.
What could probably happen next in this picture is probably that the boy who is painting on the canvas will, in all likelihood, complete it. He is most likely going to create a portrait of the animal, probably a horse, standing in a forest under the sun. The four students who are sitting around the table will probably accomplish their task in due course. The girls would presumably making a colourful image in yellow and blue; the boys, engaged in creating something with the paper bits, on the other hand, will possibly create something very imaginative after some time. It is quite certain that they are working towards designing something as a group. The four students who’re standing near the teacher will, perhaps, be done with their conversation and proceed accordingly, to complete whatever task they will be assigned. Overall, I believe that the class is likely to produce amazing creations.
My brother, I want to let you know that if we go to the Poolside Family Restaurant, it would be much more fun for several reasons. First, we will get to experience having dinner by the poolside, which I have heard is amazing with its clear water. The decor of the premises is entirely done in Italian wood which adds to its aesthetics. Also, it offers some of the most delicious dishes of French and Japanese cuisines. I clearly remember how much you relished Japanese food, the last time we had it together at a party. The restaurant serves the dishes in silver that gives one the feel of royalty. One of the unique features of this place is its famous music band that performs live jazz every evening. At night the place would look even more beautiful with the lights reflecting in the water. So, I think we should go there and enjoy dinner.
Good Morning, Samuel, I was so excited when I heard about your visit and I was looking forward to your arrival next week. But yesterday only I got to know that I’ve to attend a very important conference next week, overseas. I’m slated to travel to Mexico as there is a significant deal underway. I have been looking after this project from the beginning itself. I even talked to my office manager concerning your upcoming visit and he is quite reluctant to approve my leave or postpone the visit. It will be quite a risk for him to send someone else in my place and jeopardise everything at the last moment. I would suggest you postpone your visit by a week or so, as I don’t want you to feel neglected and alone in my absence. Please do let me know your final decision so that I can make the necessary arrangements beforehand.
Some people believe that it is a good practice to guide parents about parenting methods. I firmly agree with this idea because of its positive outcomes. First of all, I think that taking expert advice makes the parents familiar with effective nurturing practices. I believe that with these special sessions parents can get some handy tips, which can be helpful in handling children tactfully. Positive results have been seen in the USA, where such coaching sessions were provided to the parents of kindergarten students, last year. Also, I think that such expert guidance helps parents in understanding the problems children face regularly. Moreover, parents become aware of several medical conditions and other important health issues related to their children’s lives. I clearly remember a recent article where it was mentioned that many Japanese youngsters were found to have a psychological problem of low self-esteem and self-induced anxiety. In the long run, the suggested practice of educating the caretakers helped the respective families to avoid many potential consequences as they were able to deal with the problem in the right manner. This development strengthens my faith in this practice. So I believe that providing professional guidance for parenting is beneficial for parents and helps them to have a more cordial relationship with their offspring.
Jill, its Michael, you won’t believe what I’ve just seen in a furniture shop where I’m standing right now, it’s quite interesting and hilarious! There’s this cute little couch in yellow, but guess what! It’s not just any ordinary couch. It’s shaped like an old Fiat car. I felt so nostalgic when I first looked at it. Do you remember when my Grandfather used to pick us from the school in his old car? It looks just like that. It has two seats with cushions in the middle and it resembles the front row of a car. There are two big round headlights on either sides of the cushions. On the sides there are the typical black tyres of a vintage car, but they appear punctured. I’m sure you will also be as intrigued by this couch as I am. I would love to know what you feel. Do you think it’d be a good idea to buy it? Please let me know.
