Dear Sir , I am writing to bring to your attention that a large palm tree fell in front of my house on Charles Road during a severe storm yesterday. , My name is Simon Mendes and I have been a resident at 56 Charles Road for the last 10 years. I have never had a reason to complain to the council before, but because no one is taking any action, I am forced to write this e-mail.The area where I live is highly crowded being closer to the city airport and there is no time of the day when the crowd on the road is thin. The fallen tree has almost blocked the main road and is not only causing a lot of inconvenience to the people in the neighbourhood including me, but also creating much trouble for the passersby. We cannot even park our cars due to this. Traffic congestion all day created due to this is an added trouble.I would appreciate if you could send the concerned staff to clear the road on priority. I look forward to the problem being resolved.

In my opinion, building a health club would be better for our neighbourhood.

At present, our town has around 5000 people, and a majority of them are youngsters. In case a health club is built, it will attract many of these youngsters and will benefit the town’s progress on the whole. A health club would be perfect for our town as there is a considerable number of adolescents and young adults, who are health-conscious and enthusiastic about sports. The abandoned land, if utilized efficiently, would also motivate the younger generation to remain healthy. Moreover, this would be a great source of income for the people of our town.

Having sports facilities would also provide the young athletes of our town new opportunities. Presently, none of the schools in the town have appreciable facilities for sports, health and recreation. If we have a health club, it will encourage people of the town to stay fit, active and inculcate healthy living as a part of their routine. It is, therefore, preferable to have a health club in our town considering the urgent need. This development will boost the health of the town and attract people not only from the town but also from nearby areas.
